Three Men Charged With Forgery In Saco

A Biddeford man and two men from Georgia were charged with forgery after allegedly attempting to cash fraudulent checks.

The Saco Police Department was contacted by a local bank on Nov. 10 and told that a man was meeting with a teller and attempting to cash a fraudulent check, according to a press release from the Saco Police Department.

Earlier that day, the Biddeford Police Department had sent out a notice to area police departments reporting similar activity had taken place earlier in Biddeford involving people leaving in a Silver Dodge SUV with a Georgia registration.

A police officer found Jason Trickett, 54, of Biddeford in the Saco bank and an investigation began, according to Saco Police. Officers and Detectives found Richard Cheese, 50, and Roderick Davis, 21, both from Atlanta, Geogia, in a silver Dodge Durango bearing a Georgia registration parked near the bank, according to the press release.

The investigation continued and all three men were charged with Felony Forgery. Bail was set for $50,000 for Cheese and $50,000 for Davis, and they were transported to York County Jail in Alfred. All three men have court dates at Biddeford Unified Court on Jan. 21.

This incident remains under investigation, according to police.
