Old Orchard Beach Assistant Town Manager Tim Fleury has been appointed interim town manager.
He will temporarily fill a vacancy left by the retirement of town manager Diana Asanza, whose last day was July 3.
The town had hired former South Berwick Town Manager Timothy Pellerin to fill the position, but he resigned on June 15 after just two weeks on the job.
Fleury will serve a six-month term as the interim town manager while the Town Council works to fill the position permanently, according to a press release sent by Asanza on behalf of the Town Council around 9 p.m. on July 3.
“The Council is happy to welcome Tim into this leadership role, recognizing his strong dedication and more than three years of committed service to the community,” stated the press release.
Fleury was not available for comment by press time. He served as the temporary town manager for two months in 2024 when Asanza was on medical leave. He was hired as the executive assistant to the town manager in 2022 and on June 2, 2026 the Town Council approved his new position as assistant town manager.
