Maine’s three-year transportation infrastructure work plan has been released, and there are many projects earmarked for Northern York County.Department of Transportation’s strategy for road, bridge and other transportation upgrades and maintenance projects.

According to the Maine DOT, the three-year work plan makes a $4.5 billion investment in the construction and maintenance of transportation infrastructure across the state. It includes 2,798 individual work items for the calendar years 2026, 2027 and 2028.

“As a strong supporter of investments in infrastructure, I am happy to share the details for the projects we can look forward to this year,” said District 32 Senator Henry Ingwersen, covering Arundel, Biddeford, Dayton, Hollis and Lyman. “In our district, we have growing communities that require building, expanding and maintaining the bridges and roads that take us safely from one place to another. My family, like yours, depends on it, whether to go to school during the week or to take a trip on the weekend.”

“For as long as I have served in the Legislature, I have been proud to vote for investments in transportation projects across the district – and the state,” said District 31 Senator Donna Bailey, covering Buxton, Old Orchard Beach and Saco. “Whether a bridge or a culvert, we have a responsibility to build, improve and maintain these critical pieces of infrastructure that connect our communities all year long.”
