The York County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in locating a Lyman man with multiple warrants.

York County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in a Lyman home around 10 p.m. on Jan. 9, according to a press release from the York County Sheriff’s Office. The resident of the home told deputies that Joshua Tellier, 43, of Lyman, came into his home, assaulted him, and stole his car before leaving. Deputies learned through investigation that Tellier had allegedly assaulted the victim, forced him to open a safe at knifepoint, and then stole a large amount of cash.

Warrants have been entered for Tellier for Robbery, Domestic Violence Assault, Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening, and Theft of a Motor Vehicle, according to the press release.

The stolen car was later found at the Amtrak station in Portland, but Tellier still remains at large, according to York County Sheriff’s office.

The Sheriff’s office said Tellier is believed to still be armed with a knife and should not be approached. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tellier is asked to contact the York County Sheriff’s Office.
