Local Flavor: Local food delivery

A Southern Maine-based food delivery service has expanded it services to the Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach area.

2DineIn is an independent food delivery service that started delivering take-out in Portland 15 years ago. The company expanded its services to Brunswick two years ago and on Aug. 1, began operating a branch serving Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach.  So far, 10 restaurants have signed up to deliver food to addresses in Saco and Biddeford, and eight of the restaurants deliver to Old Orchard Beach.

New customers in the Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach area can receive $10.00 off their first order by using coupon code "2DineIn" at checkout.

2DineIn drivers are full employees, not independent contractors like drivers with the nationally-based food delivery services, according to a press release from 2DineIn. The company says this is advantageous to customers, because they don’t have to outbid other customers during peak hours to make sure their food is delivered in good time. If a customer has an issue with their delivery, they can talk to a real person at the base of operations in South Portland.
