Local Flavor: July 4 barbecue at the beach

Looking for something fun to do on the Fourth of July? Ferry Beach Retreat and Conference Center is hosting a concert and barbecue from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 4 at 7 Boardwalk Drive, Saco.

This patriotic celebration will feature a wide variety of BBQ food and unlimited entertainment; including live music by a local Maine band, Borderline 207, a corn hole competition, dancing, and fireworks visible from the beach.

The menu for the cookout includes: hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken, grilled tempeh, coleslaw, macaroni salad, potato salad, tomato caprese salad, vegetable crudité, fruit crisps, cupcakes and various drinks.

Tickets are $35 per adult, $25 for youth (ages 9-17). Children under the age of 8 are free with a paying adult. Tickets include full access to the event and all food and entertainment, and attendees are welcome to enjoy some time on the beach before the cookout begins.
