Caf 64, 35 Old Orchard St., Old Orchard Beach is changing hands. But there will still be familiar faces at the downtown caf, as they’re keeping it in the family.
Lisa Kidd and Deb Dolan, owners of the Ocean Park Sub and Grocery, opened Caf 64 in 2017. Kidd announced on social media this week that they are handing over Caf 64 to her son Gabe, and his longtime friends Levi and Sam. And yes, they will still be serving the cinnamon buns that Kidd and Dolan made famous at their Ocean Park market.
Golden Rooster
The Golden Rooster, 236 Main St., announced this week that it will no longer be open for dinner. The hours at the Saco downtown restaurant are now 6 a.m.to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday with breakfast served all day and lunch beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday hours are 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., serving breakfast only.
Restaurant management posted on social media that the restaurant will in the future be adding a happy hour with drink specials and half price appetizers.
Hamburger Stand
The Hamburger Stand, at 138 Elm St., Biddeford posted on social media Thursday that, due to unforeseen circumstances, it was closed until further notice.
“We're working hard to get back up and running so keep your eyes peeled for our next post announcing when we're back at it,” stated the post.
The Hamburger Stand is one of my favorite local places for a casual lunch, and the staff is always so nice and friendly. Best of luck and here’s hoping burgers will be sizzling on the grill again soon.
