Biddeford brewery to close at end of summer

Banded Brewing Company in Biddeford has announced it is closing at the end of the summer.

The brewery, tasting room and restaurant opened in 2013 at 32 Main St, Building 13-W, Biddeford, in the Pepperell Mill campus.

The brewing company announced on Facebook today, July 10, that it would be closing on Aug. 31.

“Unfortunately, the past several years have brought significant and sustained challenges to many independent brewers like us. Despite the continued support of our customers and community, we have reached a point where continuing operations is no longer sustainable,” stated the Facebook post.

The social media post thanked the brewery staff and customers, city of Biddeford and greater Maine community for their support over the years.

“Banded will remain open and operating throughout the summer, and we plan to make the most of every minute we have left together,” stated the Facebook post. “We have nearly 13 years of beers, meals, friendships, celebrations, memories, and good times to raise a glass to—and we can’t think of a better way to close this chapter than by celebrating with all of you. We hope you’ll join us!⁠”
