Ziggi’s Coffee will celebrate the opening of its new Saco coffee shop by giving away free beverages from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2.

The Colorado-based coffee franchise opened its first Maine store at 3 Waterfall Drive in Saco, at the corner of Route One, on Feb. 20.

The 865-square-foot coffee shop in Saco serves drinks and food to-go at drive-thru and walk-up windows. According to a press release from the company, patrons can get one free 16-ounce beverage of their choice from the drink menu, including coffee, tea, energy drinks and Italian sodas from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

 In addition to beverages, the coffee shop also serves a variety of pastries, paninis, breakfast sandwiches and burritos.

Ziggi’s Coffee currently has 84 locations open in 18 states. The franchise has more than 200 locations in various stages of development, with 50 set to open within the next year, according to the press release. The coffee chain was founded in 2004 in Longmont, Colorado and has been franchised since 2016.
