Small businesses in Saco and Biddeford are invited to participate in two special opportunities to help enhance their establishment.

Heart of Biddeford is hosting business expert Jon Schallert from 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Monday at People’s Choice Credit Union, 23 Industrial Park Road, Saco. Schallert will share invaluable insights, providing participants with the tools to transform their enterprises into sought-after destinations. This event is a golden opportunity for local entrepreneurs to connect with like-minded individuals and revolutionize their business strategies.

"We are in tricky economic times. Whatever business owners can do to become more sustainable can make a difference. I also think it will be a great chance for business owners to brainstorm with other business owners,” said Heart of Biddeford Executive Director Delilah Poupore.

During the training session, Jon Schallert will delve into proven techniques and strategies for creating successful destination businesses. Attendees will gain practical knowledge and actionable ideas to implement immediately. He will be available for private consultations from 2:30 - 4 p.m.

Saco Main Street is hosting a bonus activity. Business owners who attended the training are eligible to participate in a pitch contest. Prizes include six $500 awards, three $1000 prizes, and a grand prize of $2000. This contest provides a unique chance for participants to turn their newfound ideas into actionable plans and potentially secure financial support for their ventures.

Funding for the events comes from a joint Entrepreneur Ecosystem project grant funded by Congressionally Directed Spending, via the Small Business Administration.
