Saco wellness fair set for Saturday

SACO — Age Friendly Saco is hosting its annual wellness fair on Saturday.

The wellness fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Thornton Academy atrium, 438 Main St., Saco. Admission is free but participants must register ahead of time by calling Age Friendly Saco at 207-710-5029 or emailing agefriendlysaco@gmail.com.

There will be three seminars, and everyone who registers can choose to attend two:

• Learn about the ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) ordinance in the City of Saco and learn about different ADU models with Backyard ADUs.

• Come meet with a legal professional from Saco about 'Why do I need a Will and other legal documents'.

• Confused about the various Property Tax programs available to older adults? Meet with members of Saco’s Tax Assessor's office to learn more about these programs and how to find help accessing them.

Northern Light Homecare and Hospice will also be on site to provide a vaccine clinic including the updated bivalent Covid booster as well as the standard flu and 65 plus vaccines.

There will be free coffee and doughnuts and lunch, as well as raffle prizes and a vendor fair with information and giveaways.
