SACO — The Thornton Academy Varsity Girls Basketball Team recently hosted the Saco Girls Travel Team in a just-for-fun game.

The contest was a "Someday" wish for C.K. Burns School third grader Elaina Keegan, an avid basketball fan. The Saco School Department, through its Someday project, invites students to share a wish, and then connects with members of the school and community to grant it. "Somedays" foster relationships and a belief that we matter to others.

The score of the basketball game was close, but the Saco Girls team pulled away with a win as these future Golden Trojans showed lots of spirit and some great skills.
