Saco man charged for alleged drug trafficking by Biddeford police

BIDDEFORD — A Saco man was stopped at a downtown Biddeford traffic stop and found by police to be in possession of cocaine and suspected fentanyl.

Police conducted a traffic stop on Saturday, March 18 at on Main Street on a car was occupied by several people, according to a press release from the Biddeford Police Department.

One of the passengers in the car was Alexander Shoureas, 22, of Saco. Individual baggies of cocaine, as well as larger bags of suspected fentanyl were found in his possession, according to the press release. Cash found in his possession was also seized by police.

 

 Shoureas was arrested for Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs, a Class A felony, according to the press release. Class A crimes are punishable by up to 30 years incarceration and a $50,000 fine.

Shoureas is currently on probation for Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs, a Class B felony, and Unlawful Possession of Fentanyl Powder, a Class C Felony, according to the press release. His probation officer placed a probation hold on him.

Shoureas was transported to the York County Jail where he is being held without bail, according to the press release.
