Rotary Park is cleared for swimming

BIDDEFORD — Rotary Park is open again for swimming.
Rotary Park is a 72-acre city park at 550 Main St. with a public beach along the Saco River.
The Recreation Department closed the Rotary Park beach a few days ago due to high levels of E. coli.
This morning, recreation department staff notified the public on social media that the beach was once again open.
“The alert has been lifted for Rotary Park swim area, water test results came back this morning and we are in the clear,” posted city staff on the Biddeford Recreation Department Facebook page.
The recreation department advises people to check the department’s website for updates.
