Road rage incident may have led to alleged assault in Alfred
ALFRED — Maine State Police are asking the public’s help for information regarding an alleged assault and possible road rage incident that took place on Saturday.
The alleged assault occurred on Saturday at the intersection of Biddeford and Sanford roads in Alfred, according to a written statement by Maine State Police.
A man and woman allegedly got out of a black SUV and punched the driver of a white Dodge Ram in the face several times before spraying him with Mace, according to Maine State Police. The couple then allegedly got back into the sports utility vehicle and drove off, heading toward Sanford on Route 202, said police.
Police say the man in the black SUV has been described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing around 170 pounds, and having a scruffy beard. The woman in the black SUV is described as short and thin with large glasses and blonde hair. The alleged victim estimated that they are around 30 years old, said police.
