Parking meter season in Old Orchard Beach begins May 1
OLD ORCHARD BEACH— Parking meter season in Old Orchard Beach is just around the corner.
From May 1 through Sept. 30, visitors to the downtown will have to pay to park. Metered spaces are located along Old Orchard Street, First Street, and other downtown streets as well as municipal parking lots at Milliken Street and Memorial Park, and after business hours at Town Hall.
Parking is $3 an hour, and can be paid at on-site kiosks in the downtown or through the mobile payment app Passport.
Seasonal parking permits are also available and can be purchased online or at the town clerk’s office at Town Hall.
Residential permits are available to those who live in town and register their car in town and to seasonal residents who pay real estate taxes in Old Orchard Beach. There are two types of residential permits: $50 for a season permit to park in town parking lots, and $75 to park at metered street-side parking and at municipal lots.
Non-residents can pay $150 for a season parking permit for the Milliken Street parking lot, $300 for a season parking permit at Milliken Street that includes overnight parking, or $50 for a week-long permit for the Milliken Street parking lot that includes overnight parking.
