OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The Salvation Army, Old Orchard Beach Corps has announced the dates to sign up for Christmas assistance.

“We help make Christmas brighter by coming alongside individuals and families who need a little extra help this time of year,” said the folks at the Old Orchard Beach Corps.

The Salvation Army provides food as well as toys and gifts for children newborn to 17 years old through its Christmas assistance program. The Salvation Army, Old Orchard Beach Corps serves the communities of Old Orchard Beach, Saco, Biddeford, Arundel and Dayton.

To apply for Christmas assistance, go to the Salvation Army, 2 Sixth St., Old Orchard Beach from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and 1 – 4 p.m. on October 16, 17, 19, 20, 23, 24, 26 and 27. Applicants must bring proof of residence, identification, and proof of income.
