Old Orchard Beach Chinese Restaurant closing

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — China Eatery will soon be closing.

The Chinese restaurant, located at 5 Ocean Park Road, announced on social media Wednesday that its last day of business will be March 30.

“We are saddened to announce that China Eatery will be closing this month. Our last day of service will be Wednesday, March 30, 2022. This was an exceedingly difficult decision to make and we want to thank all of you for your business and continued support over these years, and we are extremely grateful in having you as our customer,” stated the message from China Eatery Staff on Facebook.

China Eatery has been in operation for many years and is a popular local take-out option for many Chinese food enthusiasts.  The large menu includes lunch specials, vegetarian items, appetizers and dinner items.

Many fans of the restaurant responded to the social media post. One said getting food at China Eatery was an annual New Year’s tradition in their household. Another said that many birthday parties and gatherings at their home included food from China Eatery.

“You guys are the BEST in Southern Maine and we refuse to go anywhere else. Looking forward to supporting you during this last month as much as we can,” wrote one fan.
