The Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce welcomed new member, Birdies Grill and Tavern, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Birdies Grill & Tavern is located at 168 Saco Ave. in Old Orchard Beach.

Chad and Rebecca Allen purchased the former Duffy’s Tavern and Grill property in June of this year, and opened Birdies Grill and Tavern at that location. The casual restaurant offers American classics, pub fare and Maine seafood. The restaurant has a 200-seat ballroom available for events in the spring and summer, and a 50-seat private room that is available year round.

Birdies recently added indoor golf simulators, where golfers can play a full round or practice on the driving range. The golf facility will host winter leagues, starting in January.

At the ribbon cutting ceremony, members of the Chamber, community members and friends were in attendance.

The Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to stimulating the local economy and being the primary advocate, voice and resource for the business community in the area.
