Old Orchard Beach Chamber hosts annual car show

Old Orchard Beach — The Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce organized and held the 28th Annual Car Show on Saturday in the heart of Old Orchard Beach.

It was a cool sunny day which was perfect for participants and those who attended. More than 300 Classic cars and trucks were on display at the show. Those who attended the show cast their ballots for their favorites. More than 60 awards were granted for first through third place for many categories including make, model and year as well as best engine, best paint job.

 

Rocco Rinaldi, owner of Rinaldi Energy of Saco was the winner of multiple awards including Best in Show for his Ford F250 Truck. The People’s Choice Award went to Pete and Geri Riendeau, owners of Classic Memories Ice Cream L.L.C. This was Pete and Geri’s third year at the Car Show. Their vehicle was a restored Good Humor Ice Cream Truck.

Another highlight for the day was a 50/50 drawing with the winner walking away with more than $1000.

 
Food vendors served hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, French fries, clam cakes and much more. The Good Humor Truck was also a favorite with old fashioned ice cream treats.
