Old Orchard Beach beachside bar to reopen
OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The Brunswick will be reopening this week.
The restaurant and bar, located at 39 West Grand Ave., was one of several local restaurants that closed temporarily in November due to concerns related to COVID-19 safety. On Nov. 14, the day after The Brunswick announced the short-term closure, the restaurant made another announcement saying that an employee, who had been asymptomatic until that morning, had just tested positive for COVID-19.
The Brunswick management recently announced on Facebook that the restaurant and bar will reopen at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 4.
“All safety and state requirements will be enforced so please help us keep you protected,” said restaurant management on the social media post.
Live music will be scheduled this Friday through Sunday at The Brunswick, and information about events will be posted on the restaurant and bar’s Facebook page.
The Brunswick has indoor and outdoor seating and a beachfront patio. Just a short walk from the heart of downtown, it is a popular spot to listen to live music in the summer. The menu features seafood, sandwiches and burgers, and American-style cuisine.
