Local Flavor: Soul food pop-up, bite-size needhams, and spaghetti fundraiser
The Maine Needham Company, based in Saco, has announced a new item – bite-sized needham minis. The minis are expected to be available for purchase later this month and will be available in share-size bags.
For those of you not in the know, needhams are a potato and coconut-based candy covered with chocolate. The uniquely Maine candy is said to have been introduced in the 1870s by John Seavey of Seavey Sweets.
