Local Flavor: Smoothies and acai bowls in Old Orchard Beach, Saco sandwich shops reopening

Berryfull, a juice bar and sandwich shop in Sanford, has announced that it is opening a second location at 5 Ocean Park Road in Old Orchard Beach. An opening date has not yet been announced, but according to a social media post, the Old Orchard Beach branch will be open in time for the summer season and will remain open year-round.

The menu will include breakfast and lunch sandwiches, wraps, smoothies and acai bowls. More information will be reported in a future column.

Reopening in Saco

Opening day for the season for Camp Ellis General Store and Lobster Pound is Saturday. The market is located at 23 Main St., and has become a community hub in the Saco seaside community of Camp Ellis.

After being close for nearly a month, Vic and Whit’s sandwich and wine shop at 206 Main St., Saco has reopened today. Vic and Whit’s has been open for 52 years, so I think owners Mark and Beth have earned the break. Welcome Back.
