Local Flavor: Pizza by the slice and fruit smoothies

Ever get a hankering for just a slice of pizza or a late-night craving for some quick takeout? Slice is now open at 137 Main St., Biddeford, offering, as the name implies, pizza by the slice.

Slice is owned by Jimmy Albert and Alex Markakis of Two Greek Ventures. The pair also own several other local establishments, including Cowbell, 5 Dollar Fins and the Martini Bar in downtown Biddeford and Jimmy the Greek’s in Old Orchard Beach.

Slice has a rotating menu of thin-crust pizza by the slice, and is open 6 – 11:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Smoothies in Saco

The Saco Scoop will soon be serving fruit smoothies. Owner Melissa Colley said the addition to the menu is in response to customer requests. Staff is perfecting the recipes and will be offering the first three selections soon.
