BIDDEFORD — Thanksgiving is over, and I hope you all saved room for another dessert this weekend.

A few weeks ago, I wrote about Sweetcream Dairy’s soft opening at its new location at 128 Main St. in Biddeford. The local ice cream shop, formerly located at the Pepperell Mill complex, has announced a grand re-opening at its new digs on Saturday.

Sweetcream has been creating hand-crafted ice cream and sorbet in Biddeford for six years, using ingredients from local farms and producers like Elements Coffee, Harris Farm, McDougal Orchards and Sawyer’s Maple Farm. The ice cream shop keeps its recipes simple and pasteurizes its own mix to avoid ingredients like gums, emulsifiers and artificial flavorings.

Owner Jacqui DeFranca said customers can expect to see some new additions to the menu, including banana splits as well as ice cream floats made with Sweetcream's in-house soda.

“Look for the green door and come join in on the fun from 12pm-8pm on Saturday, November 26th,” she said.
