When the Landmark closed in Old Orchard Beach, many wondered what would replace the iconic restaurant, which had been in operation for 26 years.

Well, the mystery is over. Definitive Brewing Company has opened a beer garden at the 32 East Grand Ave. With canopied outdoor seating, beer lovers will have it made in the shade.

This is Definitive’s fourth location. The brewery opened in 2018 at Industrial Way in Portland, in the epicenter of the Portland craft beer scene. Since then, they’ve opened locations at Sunday River, Kittery and now Old Orchard Beach.

Definitive has a wide range of beers, including IPAs, sours, real fruit seltzers and stouts.

The Old Orchard Beach location opens today, July 1, and will be open every day this summer from 11 a.m. to dusk with a rotating selection of drafts and cans and will also serve food on-site.

Sweet Sunrise also won first place for Best New Baker at the Festival and their pumpkin whoopie pie scored the bakery a first place award for Best Flavored Whoopie Pie.
