OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Help fill the bus on election day when you go to the polls to vote for your favorite candidates.

A Fill the Bus event will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 7 at Old Orchard Beach High School, 40 E. Cummings Boulevard. A bus will be parked in the parking lot all day, and volunteers will be collecting items that will be given to Old Orchard Beach residents in need, including local survivors of human trafficking and their families.

Items that will be accepted are gently used winter clothing for adults and children, coats and shoes, unworn socks and undergarments, unused and unopened hygiene products, and new or lightly-used bedding. Cash donations will also be accepted.

The Fill the Bus event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Saco Bay Sunset, the Old Orchard Beach Recreation Department, CourageLives and the Social Services Navigator for the Old Orchard Beach Police Department.
