Live pro wrestling is returning to Saco. EWA-Maine presents The Nightmare Before Christmas, a live pro wrestling event taking place at the Saco Community Center at 75 Franklin St. on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.

The event will feature a Saco Street Fight between Thornton Academy alumni Justin “Ace” Romero and his rival Bobby Ocean, a women’s match between Liviyah and Paris Van Dale, a grudge match between DJ Powers and Dr. Heresy, and a Nightmare for the Gold match to crown a new EWA heavyweight champion; a 25 person rumble style match where the last two competitors go immediately into a singles match for the championship.

EWA-Maine is based right in Saco and is proud to bring this event to the Saco Community Center, where they plan to run quarterly events going forward. The Nightmare Before Christmas will be an action-packed night of wrestling superstars pushing themselves to the limits in exciting matches. There will be meet and greet opportunities, merchandise, as well as concessions provided by the great staff of the Saco Community Center.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at https://ewamaine.eventcube.io and at the doors of the event.

The fan response to EWA-Maine’s first year of events back in Maine has been overwhelmingly positive and people are excited to have high quality, consistent pro wrestling events in the southern Maine area.

“We had an amazing time. The show was fantastic,” said EWA fan Adam Rowley from Lebanon.

The Eastern Wrestling Alliance was founded in Maine in 1997. After gaining national attention for its role in the MTV documentary True Life: I’m a Pro Wrestler, the EWA went on to be known as the top independent wrestling promotion company in Maine and arguably all of New England for several years. After a hiatus, the EWA has returned to action with a strong commitment to the same high quality, live pro wrestling entertainment in Maine that they once set the standard for.
