A Saco dance studio is bringing on the holiday spirit with a show on Sunday that will raise money for a good cause.

Steppin’ Out Dance Centre is holding its annual Christmas Show at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 at Thornton Academy’s Linnell Gymnasium, 438 Main St., Saco. The show will feature a variety of dance styles, and performers range in age from toddlers to adults in their 60s. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the event to visit with children.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, and all community members are welcome.

“We do this every year and 100 percent of the proceeds go to charity,” said Steppin’ Out owner Nicole Saucier. “The dancers all love being a part of it.”

Proceeds from this year’s show will benefit Pine Tree Society, an agency that supports and provides services for people with disabilities. Pine Tree Society is Maine’s only non-profit sign language interpreting agency. The director of Pine Tree Society’s interpreting services was Joshua Seal, was one of the victims in the Oct. 25 Lewiston shootings.

Steppin’ Out Dance Centre is the longest running dance studio in the Saco/Biddeford area, and is located at 308 Main St. in Saco.
