Car show rolling into Saco this weekend

Vroom, vroom. The 15^th annual Saco Car Show is set for Saturday, July 27.

The car show will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thornton Academy, 438 Main St., Saco, with a rain date scheduled for Sunday, July 28. General admission for the show is $5, and children under 12 get in free. The car entry registration fee is $20.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Car Show,” said Angie Presby, executive director of local downtown group Saco Main Street. “This event has grown tremendously over the years, and we’re excited to bring together car lovers from all over to enjoy a day filled with amazing vehicles, entertainment, and community spirit.”

There will be more than 150 vehicles on display, ranging from timeless classics and muscle cars to cutting-edge electric vehicles. DJ Detonator will play hits from several decades.  Event goers can cool off in an onsite misting tent.

There will be food and drinks available for purchase, including an ice cream truck and coffee and donuts. Saco Main Street will have free bottles of water available courtesy of Poland Spring.

Car owners can compete for various awards, including Best in Show and People’s Choice.
