Bingas Wingas to open in downtown Old Orchard Beach

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Great news for local fans of chicken wings. Bingas Wingas will soon be opening in Old Orchard Beach – as an off-season restaurant.

Bingas Wingas has locations in Portland, Yarmouth and Windham. The restaurant and bar is known for its chicken wings, and also serves sandwiches and other bar fare.

Bingas Wingas owner Michael Harris said in an email that he also owns Myst, a seasonal bar and restaurant in the Grand Victorian Hotel in downtown Old Orchard Beach near The Pier.

Harris said he and his staff will open a Bingas Wingas restaurant at the Myst location in the next couple of weeks. The restaurant will operate as Bingas Wingas until late spring, and then will change over to Myst in the summer for its typical summer season, serving seafood dinners and frozen cocktails among other items.

After the summer season ends, the Myst will close and Bingas Wingas will return in the fall and operate again until summer, when the Myst will reopen.

Harris said plans have been in the works for a few years, and he’s excited to be opening the wings restaurant in Old Orchard Beach.

It appears many others are excited as well. A Facebook post announcing the Old Orchard Beach location has numerous enthusiastic comments.

“I seriously cannot wait,” wrote one commenter.

“You’re going to crush it!! Congrats,” said another.
