BIDDEFORD/SACO — Marshall Archer was recently appointed chairman of the Biddeford + Saco Chamber of Commerce + Industry Board of Directors.

The decision was made at a recent board meeting.  Archer was selected to take over the leadership role from the outgoing Chair Lori Cote, who had served for the past two years.

Archer is an experienced leader in the Biddeford-Saco community, with a career spanning over two decades in government, non-profit and workforce development industries. He is currently a Saco city councilor and  has also been an active member of the Chamber for several years, serving on various committees and participating in community events. In his new role as chairman, Archer will oversee the Chamber's strategic direction and work closely with other members of the board to promote economic growth and development in the region.

"I am honored to have been chosen as the new Board Chair of the Biddeford Saco Chamber of Commerce," said Archer. "I look forward to working with my fellow board members, Chamber staff, and the wider community to promote our region's businesses and strengthen our local economy."

The Biddeford + Saco Chamber of Commerce + Industry is a non-profit organization that represents more than 400 businesses and organizations in the Biddeford-Saco region. The Chamber's mission is to promote the economic vitality of the region by providing advocacy, networking, and educational opportunities to its members.
