Biddeford, Saco and Old Orchard Beach announce road closures in anticipation of Sunday's storm

The communities of Saco, Biddeford and Old Orchard Beach will be closing streets on Sunday in anticipation of a forecasted storm.

A storm with anticipated coastal flooding overnight into Sunday has been predicted for York County, according to National Weather Service reports.

BIDDEFORD

All roads leading to the beaches will be shut down at 9 a.m. on Sunday until further notice:

-Granite Point Road at Route 9

-Fortunes Rocks Road at Route 9

-Elizabeth Road at Route 9

-Maddox Pond Road at Route 9

-Bridge Road at Old Pool Road

-Hills Beach Road at Breakwater

OLD ORCHARD BEACH

-Town officials say that traveling in and around the coastal areas of town will be dangerous on Sunday and are limiting coastal travel to those who live there or have immediate business in the area

SACO

The following areas will have restricted and limited access beginning 9 a.m. on Sunday until further notice:

- Seaside Avenue, from the Old Orchard Beach town line to Ferry Road

- Ferry Road, from Bayview Road to Seaside Avenue

- Coastal neighborhood side streets off Seaside Avenue, including Bayview Road and the Camp Ellis area
