Biddeford Fire Department welcomes Engine 22 with blessing ceremony
BIDDEFORD — The Biddeford Fire Department welcomed the newest apparatus in its fleet earlier this week.
Engine 22 was put into service on Wednesday morning after a blessing ceremony at the 152 Alfred St. Central Station. The department’s A Shift was the first shift on duty with the new engine.
The new Engine 22 is a versatile 2023 Sutphen Custom Aluminum pumper. The apparatus features a 1,500 gallon per minute pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank, and new TNT Rescue battery-powered extrication tools.
