Biddeford book store closing

BIDDEFORD — Nubble Books is closing its doors for good.

The independent bookstore, located at the Biddeford Crossing shopping center, made the announcement on social media on May 31.

“Due to the 10 week shutdown we are closing our store. We would like to thank all of our dedicated staff, customers, and community for their support over the past 20 years,” announced the business on its Facebook page.

The store is having a closing sale that will continue through July.

The Facebook post generated more than 200 comments, many of them from customers who are saddened by the news.

“So sorry to hear you are closing. You were the only book/gift store locally. I could always find something special there,” wrote one commenter.
