An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing mother and daughter who police say were abducted from Saco.
Maine State Police issued the amber alert at the request of the Saco Police Department, said Shannon Moss, public information officer with the Maine Department of Public Safety in a press release Thursday night.
The Amber Alert is for a mother and child abduction that took place in Saco at 11:30 a.m., Dec. 28, said Moss.
The child is 3-year-old Angie Rodondi. She is described as 2 feet 5 inches tall, 25 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink dress and brown shirt, said Moss.
Her mother, 35-year-old Norma Rodondi Jimbikt, is 5 feet 11 inches tall, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, said Moss. Jimbikt was last seen wearing a green shirt, black pants and black jacket.
The two were living in “the Biddeford area” and were forced into a white Ford Explorer with New York registration by a male suspect, said Moss. At 3:41 p.m. the car passed the toll booth into New York State, said Moss.
The Saco Police Department is asking anyone with information on the missing mother and child to call the department at 207-284-4535.
